What Ireland Taught Me About Speaking with Presence
Sep 11, 2025
Ireland has a way of slowing you down.
The stone walls, the misty mornings, the endless green…they all carry a rhythm that’s different from the push of everyday life.
When I walked those cliffs and cobblestone streets this August, I wasn’t just a traveler. I was a listener.
And I realized: speaking is a lot like Ireland.
It’s not about filling space with noise.
It’s about tuning into presence.
Lessons from August’s UnMasked Series
This truth was already stirring in me through our UnMasked conversations:
🎙️ Anh Nguyen shared the event that really cracked her open and changed her life. (Listen in here.)
🎙️ Ashley Cruz took us inside her recent medical leave and how important it is to regulate our nervous system. (Listen in here.)
Each voice carried truth and presence. None of it was performance.
Speaking Beyond Performance
And then Ireland reinforced the message:
When I take the stage or guide a room through breath, movement, or somatic practices, my role isn’t to perform.
It’s to invite presence.
Because presence is what transforms a keynote from inspiring words into embodied clarity.
It’s what turns a coaching session into a breakthrough moment.
It’s what helps leaders lead without masks.
Looking Ahead
This fall, I’m bringing that energy with me, on stage, in masterclasses, in every coaching conversation.
If your organization, team, or event is ready for more than another talk… if you want your people to sustain their energy and experience what it feels like to release burnout and embody truth…
Because the best talks aren’t about performance.
They’re about presence.
With love,
Sarah
